MK Beauty Salon Gift Cards

Terms & Conditions

Gift Card Types

MK Beauty Salon offers the following Gift Card types:

• Standard Fixed-Value Gift Cards: $25, $50, $100, $200, $300

• Load-Your-Amount Gift Cards: Value selected by the purchaser at the time of purchase

• Seasonal Gift Cards: Issued for specific holidays or campaigns

• Affiliate & Promotional Gift Cards: Purchased in bulk or at discounted pricing

All Gift Cards, including eGifts, are non-reloadable, non-refundable, and non-transferable for cash.

Use of Gift Cards

Gift Cards may be used only toward MK Beauty Salon services.

Gift Cards cannot be used to pay for membership fees.

If the total service amount exceeds the Gift Card balance, the remaining amount must be paid by the customer.

Gift Cards cannot be redeemed for cash, except where required by California law.

Expiration

Gift Cards expire immediately once the balance reaches $0.

In addition, MK Beauty Salon may apply a specific expiration date to certain Gift Cards, including but not limited to:

• Seasonal Gift Cards

• Promotional Gift Cards

• Affiliate-purchased Gift Cards

• Bulk Gift Cards purchased for resale or giveaway

• Business-issued Gift Cards for employees or customers

When an expiration date applies:

• The expiration date will be printed on the gift card envelope, or

• For eGift Cards, the expiration date will be clearly stated in the email sent to the recipient

Gift Cards are not valid after the stated expiration date, regardless of remaining balance, unless otherwise required by law.

Lost or Stolen Gift Cards

Gift Cards should be treated like cash.

If a Gift Card is lost or stolen:

• The cardholder must report it promptly

• A $5 processing fee applies for replacement

• If the Gift Card is registered in the MK Beauty Salon app, the remaining balance may still be used via the app

MK Beauty Salon is not responsible for unauthorized use of lost or stolen Gift Cards.

California Law Compliance

In accordance with California Civil Code §1741.5, Gift Cards issued as part of a promotion or loyalty program are not redeemable for cash, unless required by law and only if the remaining balance is less than $10.

General Restrictions

• Gift Cards are non-reloadable

• Gift Cards are non-refundable

• Remaining balances cannot be converted to cash

• MK Beauty Salon reserves the right to cancel or refuse any Gift Card obtained through misuse or unauthorized resale

  
  

Affiliate Gift Card Addendum

(Supplement to MK Beauty Salon Gift Card Terms & Conditions)

This Affiliate Gift Card Addendum applies only to Gift Cards purchased under affiliate, promotional, or bulk-purchase arrangements and does not replace the standard Gift Card Terms.

Affiliate Pricing & Minimum Purchase

Affiliate Gift Cards may be purchased at approved discounted pricing as follows:

Minimum affiliate purchase: 10 Gift Cards, each intended for a unique individual.

Redemption Restriction for Giveaway Program:
Gift Cards obtained through the Giveaway Program (where a business distributes free gift cards to its customers or members) are intended for individual use. No single individual may redeem more than one (1) Giveaway Program Gift Card, regardless of how many were received through family members or multiple sources. If a person receives multiple Giveaway Program Gift Cards (for example, two children in the same family each receive a gift card and both give them to their mother), the recipient may use one for themselves and must give the remaining card(s) to another individual who has not previously redeemed a Giveaway Program Gift Card. This restriction applies only to gift cards obtained at no cost through the Giveaway Program and does not apply to gift cards purchased at full price or earned through other promotions.

Use & Redemption

Affiliate Gift Cards:

• May only be applied to salon services

• Cannot be used to pay for membership fees

• Cannot be exchanged for cash

• Are subject to all standard Gift Card usage rules

Referral or promotional salon credit cannot be redeemed for cash and applies to all membership and Gift Card programs.

Expiration for Affiliate & Promotional Cards

Affiliate and Promotional Gift Cards may include mandatory expiration dates, especially when:

• Purchased at a discount

• Bought in bulk (10+ cards)

• Intended for resale, giveaways, or marketing promotions

• Issued by businesses to employees or customers

Expiration dates will be disclosed:

• On the Gift Card envelope, or

• In the eGift delivery email

Expired Affiliate Gift Cards are not redeemable, regardless of remaining balance.

Misuse & Enforcement

MK Beauty Salon reserves the right to:

• Void Affiliate Gift Cards used outside approved terms

• Deny redemption for unauthorized resale

• Terminate affiliate privileges at any time

• Modify or discontinue affiliate pricing or programs without notice

  
  

Referral Rewards Program

Individuals who refer a new customer to MK Beauty Salon will be eligible for rewards as follows:

Standard Referral Reward

If a referred new customer:

• Visits MK Beauty Salon for the first time

• Pays for services during that visit

• Regardless of whether they register for Free Plan, Silver Plan, or do not register at all

Then the referring customer receives $15 salon credit deposited into their membership account balance.

Gold Membership Referral Reward

If a referred new customer:

• Visits MK Beauty Salon for the first time

• Subscribes to the Gold Membership Plan during that visit

Then the referring customer receives a $25 MK Signature Gift Card (instead of the $15 salon credit). This gift card may be used only on future visits and cannot be used on the same day it is received.

Referral Reward Restrictions

• Referral earnings are only processed after the referred customer completes their first transaction

• Referral rewards apply only to new customers who have never visited MK Beauty Salon before

• No rewards are issued for referring returning or existing customers

• Salon credit earned through referrals cannot be used to pay for membership fees

• Gift Cards earned through referrals cannot be used to pay for membership fees

• Salon credit and Gift Cards may only be applied to salon services

Bring-a-Friend Program

When a customer brings a new customer to an appointment:

Standard Reward:
The referring customer receives $15 salon credit deposited into their membership account balance, provided the new customer visits and pays for services during their first visit.

Gold Membership Upgrade Reward:
If the new customer subscribes to the Gold Membership Plan during that visit, the referring customer receives a $25 MK Signature Gift Card (instead of the $15 salon credit). This gift card may only be used on future visits and cannot be used by the new customer who was brought in.

Bring-a-Friend Gift Card Same-Day Restriction

If the referring customer receives a $25 MK Signature Gift Card through the Bring-a-Friend Program:

• The gift card cannot be used on the same day it is received

• The gift card may only be used on future visits

• The gift card cannot be used by the new customer who was brought in during that appointment

• If the referring customer brings two or more new customers to the same appointment, they may use a $25 gift card for themselves during that same appointment (if they have one)

Gift Card Redemption Restriction for Referral Rewards

Any $25 MK Signature Gift Card received through the Referral Rewards Program or Bring-a-Friend Program may be used by the referring customer only on a future visit and may not be redeemed by the new customer who was brought in.

Seasonal Gift Cards (Loadable, Non-Reloadable)

Seasonal gift cards (e.g., Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Birthdays, Holidays) are loadable once only and have no price tags, but must follow designated value tiers:

• Seasonal cards are valid only during the specific season, date, or campaign period stated on the card

• They expire thereafter and are not transferable to existing members unless the difference is paid to bring the value to full price

• Each seasonal card must be used by a new customer unless otherwise approved

• Gift cards not loaded with value are not valid for use

If a gift card is reported lost or stolen, MK Beauty Salon has the right to cancel the card and reissue a replacement to the original buyer upon request.

Each cardholder is responsible for treating gift cards like cash or credit cards.

Membership Cards

• Membership cards are reloadable and may be used to pay for salon services

• Membership cards cannot be used to pay for membership fees

• Salon credit earned through referrals or promotions cannot be redeemed for cash, and this applies to all membership and gift card programs

• Membership cards not loaded with value are not valid for use

• If a membership card is lost or stolen, the cardholder must report it. A $5 processing fee applies for replacement

• If a card is linked to the MK Beauty Salon app, the cardholder may continue to use their balance through the app

Governing Terms

All Gift Cards, Affiliate Gift Cards, and Referral Rewards are governed by:

• MK Beauty Salon Gift Card Terms & Conditions

• This Affiliate Gift Card Addendum

• Applicable California law
